This week is the 8th share of our 16 week season. We’re halfway through y’all. I know, it’s sad to think about the season ending. But this time of year also brings a great variety of fresh things to eat. Our tomatoes are producing, watermelons are ripening, and we just harvested our potato crop. The potatoes were dug last Wednesday and yielded 24 pounds, averaging a pound per plant! They are in the process of curing, but some fresh ones are in the share this week.
This week we’ve got cherry tomatoes, tomatoes (one Purple Cherokee), jalapenos, garlic, yellow squash, sage, kale, red and gold beets, potatoes, and sweet corn.
